Introducing Mr. Pumpkin Patch! Our Kindergarten students voted on the shape of the eyes, nose, and mouth as they reviewed the five senses. 🎃

Global Leadership Academy students were tasked with figuring out how to open a physically locked box called a Breakout Box using clues based on ocean and lake conservation today. All the clues could be found in articles, charts, graphs, word puzzles, tangrams, and more. Great work!

“Come, little leaves,” said the wind one day,
“Come o'er the meadows with me and play;
Put on your dresses of red and gold,
For summer is gone and the days grow cold.”

Ready to hear some amazing music?

Things are getting spooky here in EA. Last week our students in Kindergarten experienced "Spider Day"!

Mark your calendars!

DECA's Brew Devil Beverage Cart teamed up with Mrs. Theobald's students to deliver Pumpkin Spice and Cinnamon Roll coffee on this cold, dreary day! This program helps students learn customer service skills as well as money handling and counting strategies. Great job kids!

It's that time of year and if you are preparing to go to college, you'll need your transcripts. Find out more here https://www.eastauroraschools.org/page/transcript-request.

Mr. Dodge's Technology class started to learn the concepts of 3D design. These students were recreating three dimensional blocks on graph paper. Did you know we are one of the only schools to partner with amazing companies in the EA area which allows them to grow their workforce? Thank you to our amazing partners in education!

A peek inside Mrs. Pukalo's first grade classroom at Parkdale. She's always looking for the "Good News" in their day!

Did you know there's such a thing as Kindergarten Bat Day? If your student was in a Kindergarten class yesterday, I bet you know all about it! From practicing writing our letters to using our fine motor skills, to learning about bats, and using our creativity to tell a story these Kindergarteners are "bat-ready"!

We'd like to take this moment to recognize the East Aurora Board of Education for their continued support and commitment to the success of the students of East Aurora. We are truly blessed to have these amazing, selfless individuals that devote so much of their time and energy to bettering the school experience for all of our students. From all of us at EAUFSD, thank you!!!

After a week of reading Clifford the Big Red Dog books, by Norman Bridwell, Mrs. Wolford's Pre-K class celebrated Clifford's birthday. The students learned the "It's Clifford" song, completed Clifford ten frames, wrote about what gift they would give Clifford, made Clifford ears, used blocks and connectors to make bones for Clifford, made Clifford a birthday cake in the dramatic play center, did stamping with the letter "C", read books to Clifford, and enjoyed Puppy Chow:)

Wednesday, October 11th, DECA members from the high school held a DECA Bootcamp and 43north Watch Party. Students spent the day in the drama room where veteran DECA members assisted as Platoon leaders of a small group of existing and new DECA members. We spent an hour learning about DECA competitive events and shared ideas on how to be competitive in our presentations to judges at the Regional, State and International level. Beginning at 9:30 a.m. the watch party for the 15 semi-finalists pitching their startup ideas to 43North for a chance to win $1,000,000. As a follow up, teachers and students were invited to attend the finals at Shea's on October 12th to see who of the 8 semifinalists who advanced would take home the prize. Students did a great job of identifying who might be the winners; nearly half of EAHS DECA members agreed with the audience at Shea's on a clear fan favorite: Kredit Academy who was presented an additional $25,000 from Highmark Blue Cross and Blue Shields, Mike Ball. Congratulations to Kav. Guidesly, StoreCash, and Stepwise also who will be relocating their startup to Buffalo, NY.
