Today, Mrs. Oleksy taught our UPK students how to make the "L" sound using mirrors, and fishing for words beginning with "L" to feed their penguin friends. Mrs. Ryan had our students practice some penguin walking on their heels to the "Bear Cave" where they practiced getting up on their tippy toes to let their friends crawl out of the cave under them. Hearing their giggles were priceless! She followed it up by teaching them a song that reminds them to start their letters at the top of the line and they practiced this skill using their own chalkboards.

Mrs. Matecki's class virtually met with their new friends from Long Island. After studying Jan Brett, they made animal puppets and shared what their animal would see in East Aurora. They followed the style of Brett's Book, "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" Everyone enjoyed meeting their new friends.

The NYS Dept of Ed created an annual Digital Equity survey for each student in grades K-12. This survey will provide information on student devices and internet access at their place of residence. Collecting accurate data will assist NYS in helping districts to better serve students and families.
Please complete the survey for each child within your home via the PowerSchool Parent Portal, found in the Digital Equity and Learning Preference button in the left hand menu.
