Distance Measurements
Policy #5732

In determining eligibility for transportation, distance measurements will be via the shortest available route from the legal residence of the student to the school legally attended.

Distance measurement will not include private roads. The measurement will be calculated by authorized automobile odometer reading. If a measurement is in question, the Superintendent may authorize the use of other methods to obtain a more accurate measurement. Measurement will be made from the point in a public street or road in front of the front entrance to the student's home to the following designated points at the school the student attends:

Main Street Middle School - Corner of North Grove and Main Streets
Parkdale - Driveway opposite the front entrance
Immaculate Conception - Corner of Oakwood and Park Place
High School Driveway - Area in front of flagpole
