Three families from the East Aurora Union Free School District are gearing up for an unforgettable summer experience after winning free registrations to the prestigious 2026 Jim Kelly Football Camp. The camp opportunity was made possible through a community initiative sponsored by Univera Healthcare.
The winning local student-athletes—representing the Gates, Weatherbee, and Lindvall families from Parkdale Elementary and East Aurora Middle School—were officially honored yesterday evening during a special celebration at the Univera Healthcare headquarters in Williamsville.

The event, hosted by Univera Healthcare President Paul Valley, celebrated the young athletes' dedication to staying active, healthy, and engaged in local youth sports.
"At Univera Healthcare, our mission is to help people in our communities live healthier and more secure lives," said Valley. "Supporting youth programs like the Jim Kelly Football Camp is one way we encourage healthy behaviors and invest in young athletes across our region."
During the festive evening, the East Aurora students were presented with life-size replica "tickets" to the summer camp and received an official Univera Healthcare jersey personally autographed by Buffalo Bills legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Jim Kelly.
In addition to the sports memorabilia, the students participated in an interactive nutrition workshop led by Univera’s registered dietitians. The young athletes learned about high-performance fueling by creating their own personalized "Snackle Boxes"—a customized, nutrient-dense power snack container designed to keep their energy levels up during rigorous camp drills.
The East Aurora Union Free School District extends its sincere congratulations to the Gates, Weatherbee, and Lindvall families, and its deepest gratitude to Univera Healthcare for their continued partnership and investment in the wellness and achievement of our district's youth. Great job students and families!
