You may have noticed fencing has gone up around the middle school front entrance! This marks the beginning of the next phase (Phase 2b) of our Capital Project, which will bring exciting improvements to our school.
Here is a quick look at what the contractors are working on this week:
Fencing and Staging: The initial staging has begun! The fencing is in place to create a separate, safe area for the contractor entrance, dumpsters, and facilities. Contractors are mobilizing, bringing tools and supplies to the site.
PA System Wiring: Wiring for the new, upgraded PA system is currently being run throughout the building above the ceiling tiles.
Library Demolition: Initial electrical demolition in the library has started, with all old lighting removed and temporary construction lighting installed.
Upcoming Milestones:
Later this week, further measures will be implemented to separate the construction site from operational areas of the school. Temporary stud walls will be constructed in the hallways adjacent to the work zone. Following this safety measure, the full-scale demolition of the library is scheduled to commence.
The District asks the community for its continued patience and cooperation as this critical project moves forward, ultimately leading to modernized facilities for our students and staff. Further updates on the project's progress will be provided regularly.
