The New Chicken House at EAHS

East Aurora Has a Farm, EA-EA-O!

Sold to the school district in the late 1960s, the land the HS sits on was once the Becker family farm.   These 107-acres were worked by the Becker family at least back through 1909.

And today the site prep began to grow new crops from these old roots!  The HS's new "Sustainable Agriculture" program is an innovative learning experience that includes the "living laboratory" of a working micro-farm!

The farm is starting out with chickens but already plans to expand to include pigs and other livestock.  Stay tuned for updates on the animals and crop harvest!
