3 Levels of Athletic Philosophies

This level of competitive sports focuses on the fundamentals of the game, rules, training, sportsmanship, and basic skills. The goal is for all participants to receive appropriate and meaningful playing time during inter-school contests, at the discretion of the coach.

JV:

At this level an increased emphasis is placed on team play, physical conditioning, refining fundamental skills, and sportsmanship. Winning is emphasized. Meaningful contest participation will exist over the course of the season, however, playing time is at the discretion of the coach.

Varsity:

Team play, sportsmanship, individual ability, physical conditioning, motivation, and attitude are all important aspects of competing at the varsity level. Winning is the emphasis. It is vital that each team member understand their role on the team and know its importance to the team in all situations.
