A Community Service Club
Our goal is to expose children to different organizations and facilities that provide pillars in our community's foundation at local, national and global levels. They will be provided with the opportunity for "hands on experience" and will also attempt to execute service projects based on their new found knowledge and ideas. We plan on learning about Cradle Beach, an organization serving disabled and disadvantaged children in WNY, visiting our friends at Absolut Care Nursing Home and working with the City Mission, Salvation Army and the Big Brother/Big Sister Program. This year we will have SMILE Workdays, where the children will participate in activities such as raking leaves for Independence House, hosting another community spaghetti dinner, running our 2nd Annual Cupcake Campaign and organizing a food drive. We will also be working with a team from the UB Campus on and exciting project known as BTEP. It is an amazing collaborative community model that sets the bar for education and embodies civic engagement.
