• Aurora Youth Service Board

The Aurora Youth Service Board was established in 1984 by the leaders of the Town, Village, School District, Ministerium and the Boys and Girls Club to address substance abuse among young people.

Since that time, the Aurora Youth Service Board has established a Safe Homes Education Program, published a family handbook and resource directory, and supported the District in applications for grants that fund an excellent multi-grade substance abuse program in our schools. The Youth Board insures that substance abuse education programs and positive activities are available to the young people of our community through its support and promotion of the many coordinated activities sponsored by our schools and local service organizations. The Board has also been instrumental in the creation of a school social worker position providing valuable counseling to area children and their families.

Representatives of various organizations, schools and community members comprise the membership. For questions or information call 687-2328.
