    MY GOAL = Guiding students through musical experiences so that they will have the ability
    and desire to actively pursue musical involvement for the rest of their lives.

    These musical experiences are activities that focus on the four New York State Standards for the Arts:

    1.  Creating, Performing, and Participating in the Arts

    2.  Knowing and Using Arts Materials and Resources

    3.  Responding to and Analyzing Works of Art

    4.  Understanding the Cultural Dimensions and Contributions of the Arts

    All students at Parkdale meet for general music twice every six days for forty minutes.
