EAHS International Studies Project
The EAHS International Studies students are working on a Global Outreach project this year. Each group, consisting of students in both freshman and sophomore sections, has chosen to research the history, culture, language, economy, religion, and traditions of a country and determine a concern that can be addressed on a local and global level, offer initiatives to help reduce the concern, and then follow through with a service project to help fund the solution.
Students are seeking to meet with local activist groups and outreach programs, engage in a dialogue about their projects and seek funding for their pursuits. This project evolved from a group of students who traveled this summer to Cambodia, where they visited an elementary school with very few facilities and amenities. The EAHS students were warmly welcomed by students from Srahsrang Primary, who shared songs and enjoyed conversations together.
