The SMILE Club lived up to their “make a difference” November 18, raising a total of $2,429.00 at a spaghetti dinner at the school.

The dinner raised $1,829.00 for UNICEF's continued relief efforts in Haiti. The Empty Bowls campaign raised $600.00 which results in 300 holiday dinners for the Buffalo City Mission, and all the leftover event food was delivered to the Buffalo City Mission for their midnight meal. The baked goods sale by Mrs McAtee's Girl Scouts raised an extra $133.00.

According to Principal Klimchuck, “Approximately 300 dinners were served. Congratulations SMILE kids and a big thanks to everyone in our District and community who supported this event!”
