Asian Stagnation,
(1450 C.E. to 1750 C.E.)

During the early modern period, 1450 - 1750, Asia experienced the rebirth of a Chinese empire, the growth of new empires in the Middle East and South Asia, but also the closing of Japan.  This inability to recognize the threat the European traders posed to their states and cultures, would eventually spell their doom.
