Fundraising & Donations
All of the money raised by the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) directly benefits our children at Parkdale, including these core initiatives:
- Free Field Trips: The PTO works to raise $10,000 every year to make possible fun and enriching field trips for all Parkdale students at no charge. The PTO gives each grade level $2,000 for transportation and program costs. These field trips have included: Lancaster Opera House Performances, Buffalo Zoo, Kelkenberg Farms, Fort Niagara, and many others;
- Free Family Events: These are the great events that the whole family can enjoy at no charge, including: the NEW Fall Festival (former Ice Cream Social), Literacy Night (kids love the popular Book Walk), Fourth Grade Moving-Up Day, and Send-Off to Summer Carnival (rollicking good time with bounce houses and cotton candy);
- Technology Enhancements for the Classroom: In the last two years, the PTO was able to purchase six SMART Boards with projectors for Parkdale teachers to use in their classrooms. Any additional money raised this year would be used for more technology advancements.
We are very fortunate to have such a supportive community because only by working together can we achieve our goals. As always, we thank you for your continued support as we work for all of our children.
