About Parkdale Elementary

Watch us as we make plans for a Parkdale Community Garden!  The grant-funded project, currently in planning, will allow students to participate in a fun way to learn the science of agriculture and lifelong healthy eating skills.  The garden is gplanned to be:

  • organic
  • wheelchair accessible
  • fenced, with raised beds
  • irrigated
Organizers plan to donate 10% of the crop yield to the local food pantry, and hope to break ground for the 400 square-foot garden in the spring of 2010.
