The Continuing/Community Education provides the links below for adults who need classes in GED preparation, literacy or ESL (English as a Second Language) programs.


Everywoman Opportunity Center, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation that helps Western New York women achieve personal and economic self-sufficiency through career/life planning. Volunteerism

East Aurora's Millard Fillmore House Museum is seeking volunteer docents to bring history alive for visitors this coming summer season.  The presidential home hosts local, national and international visitors, and is open from 1-4 PM on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from June 1- October 31.  Guide training is Saturday, May 17; call Kathy Frost, 652-2621 or Nancy Beach, 225-0713.

Explore & More... a children’s museum is seeking volunteers with experience working with young children. For more information please contact Explore & More at 655-5131, ext. 10.

The Greater Buffalo Chapter of the American Red Cross is currently seeking volunteers for its Ombudsman program; call Christian Reitler at 878-2385.

Literacy Volunteers of America is in search of dedicated volunteers to tutor adults in Basic Reading, or English for speakers of other languages. Call 876-8991 for more information.
