Parent Involvement

There are many opportunities for you to be involved with your child’s class, some requiring more time than others.  We appreciate your help!

Activity days-Activity days are fun, action-filled days.  The teacher plans and sets up 4 stations.  At each station there is an activity relating to what the children have been learning about in class.  A parent volunteer is assigned to one station to . The children rotate through each station. We will let you know when an activity day will be happening so you can volunteer.  This is a nice way for parents to see your child’s class in action and meet your child’s friends.  Please do not bring siblings to activity days, thank you.

Room Parents-Room parents and helpers will organize several parties during the year (Halloween, Winter and Valentine’s Day). These are structured much like an Activity Day, but are less academically focused.  Room parents will need help from other parents with running the activities and sending in supplies.  Sign-up sheets will be available at Open House for you to send in party items and to volunteer.

PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization)--I encourage you to join the PTO and get involved in the school activities that this group does.  Here is a link for more information.
