Kristine Ward, Director Cheryl Sweet, Secretary 716/687-2311 What’s new for summer community education in East Aurora? The summer adult program is generally a light one at East Aurora Schools, but we always try to offer something new in each of our three terms throughout the year. This summer, Morning Pilates on the Lawn will begin, with the return of one of our favorite teachers, Cheri Wenner. Cheri will lead an early morning group near the Community Garden on the Parkdale campus, starting at 6:45 on Mondays and Fridays during July and August. Cheri also will teach Stronger Bodies, Stronger Bones at the beautiful air conditioned studio at EA Fitness in the village. We are grateful for the use of this space for this resistance training class that appeals to students of all ages and fitness levels. Tai Chi, Yoga, Aquacise and our regular aerobics classes will continue as well, leaving affordable fitness within everyone’s reach. High school students may register now for driver education, which will begin July 8 and conclude before the start of fall sports in August. Finally, in September we will introduce two classes in partnership with EZ Mandarin of WNY to offer Chinese Club for students K – 5, and Chinese Tea Workshop for adults. Register online at our webstore, or by mail or in person at the office at 430 Main Street in East Aurora. A course catalog will be included in the May Challenger, mailed to district homes before May 20. Call 687-2311 for more information.
