Summer
Writing Salon #108
The
Summer Writing Salon is a great way to keep writing through the lazy
summer months without being tied down to weekly classes. Beginning
and experienced writers of family histories, memoirs, fiction,
children’s literature are welcome to join in the relaxed atmosphere
of the Salon. We’ll get together 10 times over the summer at a
time and place that suits everyone. Typically we meet at the homes
of Salon members where we can sit outside and enjoy the weather while
we share our writing or bring your works in progress or try topics
suggested by the instructor. Class size is limited.
Meets: Various
dates and times throughout summer beginning May 19th,
6:00 PM at the Aurora Senior Citizen Center, Oakwood Avenue & 101
King Street, East Aurora (see course description), 10 two-hour
classes, ending 9/15/09

A Writer's Day in the Country – Volume Three #111 Richard Ohler
Joint
East Aurora Community Education writing instructor Rick Ohler for a
day-long workshop and retreat devoted entirely to your writing. Enjoy
the camaraderie of fellow writers, helpful instruction, thoughtful
criticism and heartfelt encouragement. No interruptions, no
distractions, just a peaceful setting and lots of room to wander about
on acres of woods, meadow and pond in Cattaraugus Country about 25
miles from East Aurora. Beginning and experienced writers of fiction,
non-fiction, poetry, memoirs and family histories are welcome. Your day
will include some directed exercises and plenty of free time to write
on your own. Registration is limited to 12 to insure personal
attention. Registration fee includes a coffee and bagel breakfast,
